Journalist Kwabena Bobie Ansah has said he will vote for former President John Mahama in next year's general elections.
The host of 'The Citizen Show' on Accra100.5FM told Nana Kwesi Asare on Class91.3FM's 'The Big Show' recently, during a personality profile interview, that his fondness of Mr Mahama, who is leading the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the 2020 polls, "goes beyond" just being "a fan" of his.
"I will vote for him", Mr Bobie Ansah declared.
According to him, he is not a fan of President Nana Akufo-Addo, who is expected to lead the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the elections.
"I don't like the political ideology that Mr Akufo-Addo carries around; he's not carrying the NPP ideology, it's a lie; it's a façade", Mr Bobie Ansah noted, adding: "He's carrying a 'family' ideology, which is to amass wealth, gather money, control the system [through] state capture, ruthlessness and recklessness".
"Nana Addo is not pursuing NPP's agenda", he insisted.
The only thing Mr Bobie Ansah said he liked about the President is his wife – First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
"I like something about Mr Akufo-Addo; I am one of the big fans of his wife, Aunty Rebecca. For Aunty Rebecca, any time, any day I can be there for her … a very diligent lady", he praised.
"Aunty Rebecca, I've never dealt with her but I've stayed back and watched her demeanour – the way she does her things, the swag, the style and I like the way she's not getting herself involved too much with her husband's work; I like the way she's concentrating on her job, doing her own thing, philanthropy.
"… Naturally, I think I like her. I like the way she does her things".
