National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Kofi Adams, has launched a scathing attack on Nana Akufo-Addo describing him as the biggest threat to Ghana, and not fit for the country’s presidency.

According to Mr Adams, the New Patriotic Party presidential nominee who he said is divisive, has “surrounded himself with persons convicted of drug related crimes”.

Mr Adams was responding to Nana Akufo-Addo’s claim that President John Mahama poses a threat the future of the current generation and those unborn.

Addressing a rally at Mallam Weija/Gbawe Constituency at the weekend, the NPP flag-bearer argued that President Mahama’s government has plunged the country into a state of economic quagmire characterised by high unemployment rate, rising cost of living, severe hardships and despondency.

But Kofi Adams has taken exception to the comments by Nana Akufo-Addo, claiming the flagbearer is the one who poses a threat to Ghana having “declared ‘all die be die,'” claiming even former President John Kufuor “warned the NPP about Nana Addo’s divisive nature.

“Indeed President Kufour warned the NPP in 2007 not to elect someone who comes with tension not to divide this country.

Luckily, they elected him and he did not win the general elections in order to bring division in the entire Ghana but what has happened is he has divided the NPP into about three segments,”Mr Adams claimed.

Mr Adams said Akufo-Addo has no moral right to describe President Mahama as threat, noting President Mahama amplifies peace as against someone whose face brings tension.

“I am sure those words just came out of him just as other words that have coming out of his mouth without proper thought.

He’s said many things that when you analyse, you realize he just spoke without proper thought.

“He’s made several allegations against government, yet when questioned he only replied he was merely repeating what he heard others say.

How can you have such a person as a president? Don’t you think you will be subjecting this country to all kinds of abuse and bad leadership?” he asked
