Aspiring Ashanti Regional Chairman for the opposition National Democratic Congress is accusing the Akufo Addo government of creating fertile grounds for crime and armed robbery.

According to Joseph Yammin, since assumption of office as president, the president has taken no immediate step to fight crime in the country.

Yammin was speaking on Ultimate Breakfast Show with host Lantam Papanko. He said, “Akufo Addo has created a very fertile grounds for crime and armed robbery to flourish again.”

“Armed robbers have started attacking and shooting poor citizens and this is something the Mahama government successfully fought against while we were in government.”

“Akufo Addo’s own brother warned us that there will be insecurity if Akufo-Addo becomes a president but we failed to listen and voted for him,” he added.

“Koomson said he can’t sleep and close his two eyes under an Akufo-Addo government but Ghanaians thought he was joking and this is the price we are paying for it now”.

“Just last night, the former Municipal Chief Executive for Ashaiman was shot by armed robbers and his car taken away…This is serious insecurity,” Yammin charged.
