Akufo-Addo’s law certificate is not missing - Lawyers

Lawyers for the 2012 flagbearer of the main opposition NPP have rubbished reports suggesting that the law certificate of their client is missing.

The Enquirer newspaper reported on Tuesday that documents submitted to the court on behalf of Nana Akufo-Addo, in his response to a writ challenging his qualification as a lawyer indicated that the former Attorney General’s law certificate is missing.

The certificate from the General Legal Council is what endorses a lawyer’s qualification and calling to the Bar.

Retired Supreme Court Judge, Justice Kpegah is the plaintiff in the case.

The paper said it has cited a document by Nana Addo complaining of his inability to trace his law certificate in 2007.

But speaking to XYZ News one of his lawyers, Frank Davis said the publication lacks merit and must be disregarded.

“We didn’t say his papers were missing…we never said so, we have never said anywhere that Nana Addo’s certificate is missing…the story put up is false,” he added.
