Akufo-Addo says Volta Region better off under NPP

Mafi-Kumase (V/R), July 3, GNA - Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said the NPP government had done more for the Volta Region in terms of development than previous governments.

Said mentioned roads, schools and electricity among others as remarkable landmarks the government had undertaken in the region over the past eight years.

Addressing a rally at Mafi Kumase on Wednesday, Nana Akufo-Addo said these facilities demonstrated the government's interest in the region.

He appealed to people in the region to ignore propaganda to the contrary and that the NPP "do not subscribe to divide and rule." "We have come to repair every part of the country and hope this is the time for people in the Volta Region to turn to the NPP for us to move together as one people", Nana Akufo-Addo said. He urged voters in the Central Tongu Constituency to vote for the party's candidate, Mr Thomas Moore Sronyrah, a teacher at Mafi-Kumase Secondary Technical School, in the December election.
