President Nana Akufo-Addo will visit the infamous Denkyira BOase today town as part of a 5-day working tour of the Western and Central Regions of the Country.
The town made the headlines for the wrong reason some three months ago following the gruesome murder of a Military Officer, Major Maxwell Mahama by residents at a time the deceased had been posted to the area on national assignment.
President Nana Akufo Addo will on Tuesday, August 8, engage the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem, in the Western region before leaving to Half Assin.
He’ll also visit the Atuabo Gas Plant in the Elembelle Constituency, and subsequently be a guest at a durbar by the Chiefs and people of Axim, following which he would leave for Takoradi.
On Wednesday, August 9, the President would pay a courtesy call on the Omanhene and elders of Essikado Traditional area after which he would visit the Efiankwanta Regional Hospital and interact with patients and staff.
Thursday, August 10, President Akufo-Addo will call on the Regional House of Chiefs at Cape Coast in the Central region and later visit the Chiefs and people of Twifo and Atti Morkwa, where a durbar would be held in his honour.
The Chiefs and People of Ekumfi and Senya will also hold two separate durbars in the President’s honour.
