Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will commence his tour of the Western Region on Friday November 4 as art of his preparation ahead of this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections.
He is expected to end the tour of the region on Sunday November 6. He just ended his tour of the Volta region where he met and interacted with the chiefs, opinions and the electorate.
A statement released by Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa Western Regional Communications Director of the NPP said: “He (Mr AAkufo-Addo) will pay courtesy calls on Chiefs and Opinion Leaders, meet identifiable groups and address rallies with the NPP's message of hope, which is aimed at creating prosperity and equal opportunity for all Ghanaians at the constituencies he will visit.
The statement added that: “Nana Akufo Addo will also be the Special Guest of Honour at the Western Regional Students' for Change Rally at the Takoradi Polytechnic Park on Friday, 4th November, 2016 at 4.00 pm. All youth and students who believe in the Change agenda for jobs and a better future are invited.
The schedule for the three day tour is as follows:
• Friday 4/11 Mpohor, Wassa East and Shama Constituencies.
• Saturday 5/11 Kwesimintsim, Takoradi, Effia and Essikado-Ketan Constituencies.
• Sunday 6/11 Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira, Ellembele, Jomoro and Ahanta West Constituencies.
The Mr Akufo-Addo will be accompanied by members of the National and Regional Campaign Committees, Members of Parliament and former Ministers.
The Regional Executive entreats members and sympathizers of the NPP as well as the general public to come out in their numbers and give him a rousing welcome.
