Akwatia installs new Kyidomhene

Akwatia, Jan.19, GNA - Mr. Harry Nyarko Dadson 50, has been installed as the new Kyidomhene of Akwa tia in the Eastern Region under the stool name Baffour Kofi Nyarko.

Baffour Nyarko a computer technician with Dell Computers in Austin, Texas in the United States of America succeeded his uncle Baffour Ampofo Darkwa who died in November last year.

Swearing the Oath of Allegiance to Osabarima Kofi Boateng III, Akwatiahene, Baffour Nyarko pledged to assist in the development of the town.

He regretted that despite many years of diamond mining in the town, Akwatia had not been developed and appealed to the Government for assistance especially provision of potable water. Baffour Nyarko advised the people to register with the National Health insurance Scheme (NHIS) to benefit from an affordable quality medical care.

Osabarima Kofi Boateng advised the new Kyidomhene to be humble, bold and courageous work without fear or favour.
