Alan "Cash" charms delegates

The race to elect the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party is steadily gathering momentum with the former Ambassador to the United States and Minister of Trade & Industry, Mr. Alan Kyerematen giving a message of hope to his party people.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen, popularly known as ‘Alan Cash’, has for the last month been speaking to party delegates with a clear and simple message of strengthening the grassroots which is resonating with the party people.

The trade expert who doubles as a business consultant, lawyer and economist advised that the party could not afford to lose the 2016 general elections and hence it (the party) needed to be well-resourced and better organized at the grassroots for victory 2016. Mr. Kyerematen strongly advocated that the NPP seriously needed to consider and remunerate party faithful who are willing to work full time for the party. He stated that, “the party must be in the position to care for it’s hardworking party people”. Adding that “this is non negotiable!”

In the Greater Accra region where he is currently touring, a delegate could not hide her emotions and burst into tears saying, “God bless you Alan Cash for thinking about we the party people” She recounted the difficulties she goes through as a polling station women organizer in organizing the party without any source of income. She further stated “Alan Cash has good thoughts for us (polling station executives) and that his very humble and calm nature will make the difference to enable us win power in the general elections”.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen is being accompanied by some leading members of the NPP including, Mr. Kofi Dzamesi, former Volta Regional Minister, Nana Ohene Ntow, former General Secretary and Dr. Heka Benson, former Upper West regional minister.
