Former Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Kwame Alfred Agbesi has praised the Speaker of the 8th Parliament, Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin for his leadership during his tenure.

Speaking on Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey, he stated that if he were to assign a grade for Bagbin’s tenure, he would award him an impressive 90%. Agbesi highlighted Hon Bagbin’s exceptional handling of parliamentary affairs, particularly in navigating complex and often challenging situations.

“If we were awarding marks to 100, Bagbin would have taken 90%. To me, he did extremely well. He has gained a lot of experience and handles serious situations well,” he remarked.

Reflecting on the Speaker’s ability to maintain order and resolve conflicts, Agbesi argued that Bagbin’s deep understanding of parliamentary operations made him uniquely suited to continue in the role.

“That is why I would have wished him to continue to be the speaker for the next parliament,” Agbesi added, highlighting his belief that continuity in leadership would ensure stability and foster further growth in the parliamentary institution.
