Communications team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Nasiru Mohammed has disclosed why President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo is finding it ‘difficult’ to fight corruption in his administration.
He was reacting to the pressure being mounted on Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu to deal with corrupt officials in the country.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo must be willing to punish his ‘family members’ who engage in corrupt acts and without that, it will be hard for Martin Amidu to do his work.
“This government is finding it difficult to fight corruption because of the number of relatives and family members in this administration . . . indeed Martin Amidu must be able to do his work to fight corruption but he must be helped by the Akufo-Addo led government,” Nasiru said while contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’.
