Alhaji Sulemana urges NDC executives to take cue from its conference

Kumasi, Dec. 27, GNA - Alhaji Gado Sulemana, a former chairman of the Asawase constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged the newly elected executives of the party to take lessons from the crisis that characterised the just ended conference in Koforidua and discharge their duties efficiently. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi on Monday, he stressed the need for them to be faithful, honest and submissive in their work. He lauded the rank and file of the party for their sense of oneness and maturity exhibited at the conference.

Alhaji Gado said the chances of the party in winning the 2008 elections depended on dedication and commitment of the entire members of the party towards the adoption of effective campaign strategies to wrest power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He said, "Now that the elections are over, there is the need to unite to ensure peace among the supporters", and appealed to the supporters to rally behind the executives at the various levels of the party to win more members for the party.

Alhaji Gado commended the good work and commitment of former President Jerry John Rawlings and Professor John Evans Atta-Mills, the 2004 presidential candidate of the party towards the progress and development of the party. The former chairman also lauded the media for their efforts to promote democracy in the country.
