CENAB Launching: All Roads lead to Philadelphia, USA on Saturday.
From the snippets of information gathered so far, Ghananewsmedia.com can authoritatively report that all roads from Ghanaian communities in the USA will be leading to Philadelphia, the city of Brotherly Love.
Ghanaians from all over the USA will be congregating in the Radisson Hotel to officially launch the much awaited grand coalition: the Coalition to Elect Nana Addo and Bawumia (CENAB).
In an interview with Ghananewsmedia.com, one of the organizers, Kwame Agyeman-Budu, stated that the feedback they have gotten so far from fellow Ghanaians goes to indicate that the event will be a blast. He said organizers are therefore making contingency plans to make room for excess numbers, which they suspect may occur.
A copy of the publicity flyer in the possession of Ghananewsmedia.com has seasoned and firebrand leading members of the great elephant party who will be in attendance. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia , the erudite economist, is featured as the guest speaker. Dr. Kwame Amoako Tufour, one of the party’s intellectual powerhouses who doubles as a founding member will be mounting the podium as a special speaker. In addition, the firebrand Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako (a.k.a. Chairman Wontumi, Chairman One) will be gracing and lightening up the occasion with his verbal fire works.
Now, in displaying the strength of the Ghanaian woman within our political landscape, Hon. Adwoa Safo, MP for Dome Kwabenya will be at the event to place her full support behind CENAB. Then comes the cool-headed political tactician and the former director of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, who along with the radical former NPP national youth organizer, Anthony Abayifa Karbo, will be in attendance, and equally take turns to address party members and sympathizers who will be present. Ghananewsmedia.com can confirm that these personalities are already in town (US). However, the event cannot be complete without the blessing of the indefatigable Chairman of NPP-USA, the sagacious political operative, Nana Kwaku Agyei-Yeboah. Chairman Agyei-Yeboah will be in Philadelphia to grace the occasion as a special guest.
To balance the thought provoking political speeches that are anticipated, there will be a performance by the world renowned Ghanaian master drummer, Okyerema Asante, who is famous for performing all parts of a traditional five-person drum group all by himself. He surprises his audience by attaching percussion instruments to various parts of his body, and simultaneously plays drums, a balafon, and many other instruments. He has as many as 85 instruments in one performance. Okyerema Asante is an expert of traditional Ghanaian talking drums, and known for playing with Paul Simon on his Graceland album. Okyerema promises to thrill his audience who will be at the CENAB launching with sizzling and dramatic performances.
In a telephone conversation with Ghananewsmedia.com, the national coordinator of CENAB, Dr. Akwasi Achampong indicated that CENAB, a broad coalition of patriots, friends, sympathizers, political admirers and people who believe that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership will be the best to project Ghana into prosperity through development embedded in freedom, has come to stay. He said the coalition is committed to marshalling their wherewithal in total support of the Nana Addo – Bawumia ticket in 2016. In a passionate tone, Dr. Achampong told Ghananewsmedia.com that nothing is stopping CENAB from prosecuting its agenda to a successful end. He called on all members and sympathizers of the NPP, and admirers of Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia to find time within their busy schedules to come over to the Radisson Hotel in Philadelphia to support a worthy cause. He stated emphatically that the peerless Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia are the safest pair of hands to save Ghana from its socio-economic woes.
