All Set For Black Orphan Project 2012

A new chapter has been opened in the era of humanitarianism and philanthropy with the coming into being of a divine project designed to touch lives in a unique manner.

It is also meant to change the lives of the less-endowed in the society and put big smiles on the faces of poor orphans who have been neglected for far too long.

This life transformation exercise dubbed “BLACK ORPHAN PROJECT 2012” has been put together under the auspices of Gift of Life Foundation Ghana [GOLF GHANA], a non-profit organization based in Accra.

This new scheme is expected to reflect on the need to bring hope and care for the downtrodden in Ghana.

GOLF GHANA is a non-governmental, non-political organization with registration number G-35,803. It has the mission to directly aid in the academic, health and emotional development of children and women in Ghana and Africa at large.

The organization has the prime object of focusing on child care development and women empowerment. GOLF GHANA also offers a wide range of volunteer programs for families, groups and individuals as a way of bridging the gap between cultural differences.

Against this background, the official launch of the Black Orphan Project is slated to take place at the Lizzy’s Sports Complex in East Legon in Accra on the 8th of July, 2012.

The official launch of the project will be done by GOLF GHANA in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs and the Department of Social Welfare.

The launch of the Black Orphan Project will be on the theme: “Motivate, Develop And Bring Out The Innate Talents In Our Orphans.”

The day in question is designed to be a networking day for orphans, philanthropists and other stakeholders and is also expected to bring out the talents in the participants from Top Class Schools and the various orphanage homes and to compete in football and culture dance as part of activities for the Black Orphan Project 2012.

This program is aimed at empowering orphans and advocating for more support for their development in order for them to also contribute to the socio economic growth of the country.

It is also being organized to create an interactive atmosphere to bridge the gap between the privileged and the less privileged in the society.

The event is also seeking to create a big platform for the kids to make new friends and network among themselves, including their various orphanage homes and schools.

Moreover, it will go a long way to motivate individuals and corporate entities who have injected and sacrificed their time and resources to take care of these vulnerable children.

At the end of the day, GOLF GHANA will award prizes and certificates to all participants.

The coming into fruition of the Black Orphan Project signifies that a new dawn and a new hope await orphans in Ghana.
