The Electoral Commission says it has prepared well for the special voting slated for December 1.
The Deputy Communications Director of the EC, Yussif Ayuba told Radio Ghana that all logistics are in place and the EC is also working with the police to ensure adequate security on that day.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service says it is well prepared to ensure total security on December 7.
The Director of Public Affairs of the Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur, told radio Ghana that the police have identified potential hot spots and are also ready to tackle unforeseen circumstances.
He said they are engaging other stakeholders like the political parties and the media to ensure professional collaboration come Election Day.
In another development, the Northern Regional Minister, Abdallah Abubakar, has called on security personnel in the region to ensure a peaceful atmosphere on election day.
He said as December 7 approaches, all eyes are on Ghana especially the Northern Region, to deliver a free, fair and credible election.
Addressing security personnel after a route march in Tamale, Mr. Abdallah called for vigilance from security personnel as well as the general public to ensure an incident-free election.
The Minister expressed concern about the proliferation of small arms in the region and urged the security services to increase their surveillance to prevent tension on election day.
