Minister for Justice and Attorney-General, Godfred Dame and Richard Jakpa Minister for Justice and Attorney-General, Godfred Dame and Richard Jakpa

Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the high-profile trial involving Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minority Leader, and two others, has reinforced his accusation of the Minister for Justice and Attorney-General's attempt to manipulate the judicial process to jail the minority leader.

Jakpa alleged that he met Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame on four occasions at his cousin, the Supreme Court Judge’s house.

He said the AG felt extremely safe discussing his plans at Justice Yoni Kulendi’s residence.

Jakpa claimed that the Attorney General preferred meeting at his cousin’s residence to avoid surveillance and ensure the confidentiality of their discussions.

He emphasized that, due to his background in security, he was committed to keeping the details of these meetings secret and would take this information to his grave.

Jakpa's statements were highlighted by Accra 100.5 FM during its evening news on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, following the High Court proceedings in Accra.

Jakpa stressed that there was no way he would record the AG's actions at his cousin’s residence, reinforcing the secrecy of their meetings.
