Private legal practitioner Tony Amekudzi has rejected claims that his amicus curia relief raised in court was politically motivated.
Mr. Amekudzi on Thursday, raised a motion of relief that the petitioners had no business taking the president to court since the constitution exempts him from prosecution, or joined to any suit.
The court rejected his intervention partly on grounds that the President is already being represented.
He has being accused of playing a political game to delay the case.
Speaking to XYZ News, Mr. Amekudzi, said he acted on his own volition, to protect the constitution and was not being politically motivated.
“The President has no hand in it. My own memo was sent to the press that I wanted to initiate this action...this was purely my own action”.
