Ghana Center Amida Brimah has been spotted on the radar of European and Turkish side Trabzonspor following his release from San Antonio Spurs Training Camp.

Per information reaching Basketballghana.com, the former University of Connecticut Captain and 2014 National College Championship Winner has been targeted by the club alongside fellow NBA players Edy Tavares and Jeremy Evans.

Tavares, from Cape-Verde and Evans last played in the league for Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks respectively.

Brimah was released ahead of this season’s NBA campaign after featuring in San Antonio’s preseason schedule against the likes of Orlando Magic.

However, he lost out on a spot to back up veteran Center Pau Gasol to Matt Costello as he picked up a two way contract with Darrun Hillard.

Brimah is a supreme athlete who thrives on the defensive end of the court blocking shots and protecting the rim; he averaged 2.8 blocks in his four stint at Connecticut.

Should he land in Turkey, he will join fellow Ghanaian Ben Bentil on the continent in recent months.
