The Tamale Central Member of Parliament, Alhassan Fuseini Inusah says Martin Amidu is more of a “talkative” and a “letter writer” than a Special Prosecutor.

He doubts if Mr Amidu who claims to be a ‘citizen vigilante’ can help fight corruption in the country.

His comment comes after Mr Amidu in his latest article claimed heads of institutions are making his work as the Special Prosecutor difficult.

The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, in a recent write-up accused heads of various institutions of hindering his efforts to fight corruption in the country.

According to him, these heads are simply refusing to comply with laid down regulations of good governance and the protection of the national purse.

“Unfortunately, the experience of the Office of the Special Prosecutor is that when it comes to fighting corruption and corruption-related offences, heads of institutions think that the rules on interdiction and/or indefinite leave of public officers do not apply to corruption and corruption-related offences,” he said in his letter.

But, Inusah Fuseini who was speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ Wednesday said, “The man is not doing his job. All he knows is to write letters and talk.”
