NDC Communicator, Chief Biney has pleaded with Martin Amidu to be tolerant of people if his appointment as Special Prosecutor is approved by Parliament.
Mr. Martin Amidu on Tuesday appeared before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee where he was vetted for the position of the Special Prosecutor (SP).
He answered a barrage of questions as the Committee members took turns to assess his qualities.
Mr. Amidu's responses to the questions from the Appointments Committee have received various feedbacks from the public as a section believes he was somehow impatient while others also believe he did a fantastic job answering the questions.
Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Kennedy Agyapong is reported to have described Mr. Amidu as "arrogant" due to the way he responded to the concerns raised by the Committee regarding some statements he made prior to his appointment as SP.
Addressing the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Chief Biney also expressed worry over the habit that Mr. Amidu portrayed before the Committee.
He hoped the Citizen Vigilante will not replicate such attitude if he is approved by the Committee because it won't augur well for his outfit.
“We will plead with Martin Amidu to know that he will be working with people and so, he should tolerate every person”.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Appointments Committee has unanimously approved the nomination of Martin Amidu as Special Prosecutor.
