It is in this vein that Eric Amoako Twum, a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications team has stated that the Pwalugu dam project coming up should serve as a catalyst for a multi sectoral grand marshal plan for the Northern parts of Ghana.

According to him, government should focus on large scale irrigation for agriculture agro processing, technology, youth training for employment and poverty eradication.

He said this on the newspaper review and analysis program, Citi TV in Accra.

"This is a very good initiative and we should look at it and explore other avenues such as agriculture and agro processing, technology, youth training to boost employment and tackle poverty."

Eric Amoako Twum posited that all agencies, ministries and other stakeholders should plug in and build their strategies to create a synergy.

He was optimistic that Pwalugu Dam will go a long way to impact positively on the lives of the people.
