Ampong and Haruna Apologise To NPP

Two NPP Activists, Mahama Haruna and Michael Ampong, have apologised to the party after a brawl at an Accra based radio station. They expressed remorse over the incident and agreed to work together for the unity and cohesion of the NPP.

The two, who are popular leading members of the NPP Youth wing engaged in verbal attacks and assault on each other during a discussion of a feature entitled "Why was Alan against electoral expansion?" written by Mahama Haruna.

The very next day they met at the house of one leading member of the party to sort out their differences and reconcile. The two then called separately to the radio station, Asempa FM, and publicly apologised to the station and its listeners for the unfortunate incident.

A few days later, at an NPP Communication Committee meeting of which both of them are members, they promised never to repeat what happened and resolved to channel their energies to fighting the NDC.

The two young NPP activists also clarified the many misconceptions and interpretations to the incident. According to them the incident was not about perceived support for certain leading members of the NPP nor were they at Asempa to discuss factionalism in the NPP. They also debunked assertions that the incident happened because they both aspire to the position of National Youth Organiser of the NPP.
