An Ankaase royal Expresses Concern about Kumawuhemaa's Party Celebrations

The Kumawuhemaa's insatiable quest for power, fame, and wealth has rather occasioned in her fall from grace to grass in an alarming crescendo. I recently overheard an Ankaase royal confiding in others how they have become suspicious of her. She has as a result incurred their unuttered displeasure and caused some eyebrows to raise, this guy had said.

What was this guy from Ankaase moaning about, you may want to know? He had said without mincing words that fingers are wagging at Kumawuhemaa for what has become her untoward behaviour whenever an important member of their Ankaase royal family dies. She flies to Canada, USA, throws a big party or celebrates her birthday on any occasion that a member of the Ankaase royal family kicks the bucket, this disgruntled guy alleges.

When her own older sibling, Kwame Afram, died in Toronto in the early 2010's she told the Late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II, the paramount chief of Kumawuman, not to arrange for the repatriation of his body to Ghana nor celebrate his funeral. What was her reason? She said Kwame Afram had died of an unnatural cause which is anathema to custom. Although Kwame had always threatened to take his own life through poisoning because he felt his hustling for successful life had gone haywire. Nothing worked to his favour and life had become quite unbearable for him in Toronto. What was then the essence of continuing to suffer the biting Canada winter - "Canada awo yi animia oo animia"? Coincidentally, he did die but of blood clot in his veins without the resort to his anticipated poisoning as revealed by the autopsy. Kumawuhemaa very much aware of the results of the post-mortem examination to the contrary still lied to Kumawuhene as stipulated above. The remains of Kwame Afram of same parentage as Kumawuhemaa were interred in Toronto, Canada, at the behest of Kumawuhemaa. Guess what. She neither attended his interment nor his funeral. Instead, she went to the USA, organized a party, enjoyed herself as if nothing sorrowful had just happened in her family.

When Barima Asumadu Sakyi II passed, she flew to Canada on the excuse of going to purchase the necessary items for his burial and funeral. Within twelve months of his death, she organized a big party to entertain herself and the invited guests. Then again, Yaw Sarpong, a contestant for the occupation of the currently vacant Kumawu Kodua paramount Stool lost his mum, Madam Yaa Taa, an Ankaase royal in 2009. In the same year Kumawuhemaa organized a huge party to entertain the Ankaase family members and other important dignitaries. It was at this party that Yaw Sarpong was asked by her, "Yaw, what are you still doing in Ghana here?" Yaw answered that he was waiting on her to be offered the Kumawuman paramount throne. She asked him to present his customary drinks. Yaw immediately did as has been requested, then had some of his friends and family members showered him with powder, went on wild jubilation announcing that the queen had offered him the throne.

Again, Akwasi Sarpong, another contender aspiring to ascend to the Kumawuman paramount throne has had his mother, Nana Nchiaa, made that journey to the land of the ancestors - a journey to the land where one can't return anymore to the land of the living or the point of departure but be held at the destination until God's judgment day. She is due for burial on 11th December 2010. She died in October 2010. Barely a few weeks into her death in November 2010, Kumawuhemaa once again celebrated her birthday, organized a sumptuous party at which all the sub-queens were invited to dine and wine. It was at this party that she announced to those present saying, "Aduanahene se me ye Fulani ni enti oregya na kwondwa na nso me nnfa ma no"

From the pattern as indicated above, it seems to have become a routine for her to organize some party of some sort anytime any member of the Ankaase royal family dies. This is what baffles the unnamed Ankaase royal. He doubts if it was not to do with juju to overpower all the Ankaase royals. He surmises she wants them to shiver in her presence like leaves subjected to the aggression of a passing wind; succumb to her dictation without questioning. This guy concluded by expressing their concern about how Kumawuhemaa by her deficient knowledge of history is pushing them out of ever ascending to the Kumawu Kodua Stool.

My question to the Ankaase royals is, if they know very well that they are not actual royals, why are they overtly supporting the queen but not revolting against her from within? Anyway, I hope her party celebrations are not for bad reasons but good ones. I am personally persuaded that she will no longer celebrate any more of such dubious parties as the queen of Kumawu, God willing.

Once again, I convey my heartfelt condolences to brother Akwasi Sarpong on the death of his beloved mum – Nana Nchiaa.

Finally, Messrs. Akwasi Adu aka "Last Day" and Opoku Mensah (Yaw Mensah) are no longer the timid guys as purported in my previous write-up. God has nominated them to play effective role in the economic and social emancipation of Kumawuman. They are honest, dynamic and visionary guys whose future contributions to Kumawuman cannot be underestimated. To these two gentlemen I say, "mo ye mmerima"
