Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo has expressed satisfaction over the orderliness of the electoral process.
He called for an orderly, transparent process to ensure that anybody who emerges as the winner reflects the wish of the people.
"What we're asking for is an orderly process, a transparent process so that we can carry out this democratic process to the fullest and to the best of circumstances. That's all what we're asking for and I hope through out Ghana, it'll be the same. So we can all jubilate that our process was done properly and to that effect, we would have elected a President and a Member of Parliament by the wish of the people," he intimated.
He was optimistic that he would be maintained as MP for Wa Central while John Dramani Mahama also wins to become the next President of the country.
He says it is his hope and prayer, that comes to fruition "so we can liberate ourselves from the pain of eight years of bad governance."
He said this after casting his ballot at the Wa High Court polling centre at around 9:30am.
He observed that the voting process went on smoothly as he was taken through the process to cast his ballot.
According to him, when he arrived at the polling station, he observed that everything was going on well without any glitches.
Before voting, he decided to pay a courtesy call on the Wa Naa, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV, at his palace which is near the voting centre before going to cast his ballot.
