Former Minister for Youth and Sports, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye who is also Member of Parliament for the Odododiodoo Constituency, is expectant the premiering of Anas’ latest exposé, Number 12: When Misconduct & Greed Become the Norm, will vindicate him.

According to the former minister, it was his intention to investigate issues of Ghana football when he was in charge of youth and sports but was limited by the change of government.

“The whole thing is about something that the Lord put on my heart when I was minister,” he told TV3’s Parliamentary correspondent, Evelyn Tengmaa.

“I intended to do unfortunately the change of government did not permit me to do it,” he added.

It, therefore, comes as a relief for him that Anas has investigated what he was not able to do while in office and he prays the issues investigated are the same as those he had concerns with.

“So, it is my prayer that the film will touch on the same issues,” he prayed.

Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest piece exposes corruption in Ghana football, fingering top officials including the boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Though the exposé is scheduled to be premiered at the Accra International Conference Center on Wednesday, June 6, snippets have already been shown to President Nana Akufo-Addo, upon whose complaints the GFA boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi, is currently under investigations by the police.

The exposé has since stirred fear and panic among top government officials and various stakeholders in the sports fraternity but the former sports minister is positive that his suspicions back then will be proven right when the exposé is finally premiered.

“And I know God would want those issues to come to the fore so that I will be vindicated,” he stated.

The Odododiodoo MP looks forward to the premiere with eager anticipation and high hopes.

“I have great expectations; I hope to be in the queue by 1 O’clock”.
