The man of God at the centre of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ yet-to-be premiered latest undercover video documentary, Reverend Larry Lamina, founder of Echoing Hills Ministries warned the investigative journalist to desist from further publishing the video of his alleged acts.
“We are further instructed to inform you that even showing those footages in any proximity to the interview they consented to would be objectionable and offensive in the extreme, and would amount to an egregious assault on the reputation of our clients and their Reverend Lamina,” the lawyers stated.
His Lawyers, in a terse letter dated 21st June, 2019, addressed to Tiger Eye PI, and copied to The Chief Executive Officer, Joy FM Radio Network, averred that about the beginning of June this year during the celebration of Children’s Day at the Church, he agreed to an interview by some two individuals who claimed to be working for Joy FM Radio Network.
The letter continues to state that during the about forty-five minutes interview in his office, no part of the interview was taken outside his office or at locations outside his office but he had seen footages on some media platforms attributed to him and the church.
According to Reverend Larry Lamina, the content of the said footage were never discussed in the interview he had with the reporters, neither was it captured from their institution.
He also mentioned that no attempt was made to seek the view of the institution to ascertain whether they were credible.
“They are shocked that the various snaps of footage are impliedly being attributed to their institution and to their Reverend Lamina,” the letter stated.
Meanwhile, Echoing Hills Ministries also mentioned in the letter that the institution as well as its leader was not responsible for such acts as portrayed by Anas’ video, and denied the contents of the footage.
They, however, threatened legal action against Tiger Eye Pi, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the New Crusading Guide Newspaper and any other media network should they fail to heed to the advice to desist from further publishing the said footages.
Hesse & Hesse, the lawyers for Echo Hills also urged Anas Aremeyaw Anas to withdraw the footages from the social media networks.
