Anas reveals 'secret' pact with Martin Amidu to fight corruption

Anas Aremeyaw Anas has revealed a collaboration between him and Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu to fight corruption.

According to Anas, he has met Mr Amidu and despite their differences, they have agreed that the fight against corruption is more important than anything else.

The ace investigative journalist is reported to have made the revelations in an interview on Aljazeera If everything goes as planned Ghanaians could see ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, and Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, team up in the fight against corruption.

According to Anas, he has met and spoken to Mr Amidu and they have an intention of coming together root out corruption.

Anas is reported MyNewsGh.com to have made the revelation during a yet-to-be-aired interview with Aljazeera

According to the report, the award-winning journalist was optimistic that Mr Amidu's appointment would achieve the desired results and warned that the collaboration would bring trouble for corrupt people.

“… You have Uncle Martin sitting on that seat and I am collaborating with him, then there is really going to be heat on those corrupt officials in Ghana”, Anas is quoted to have said.

Mr Amidu is known to have publicly criticized Anas over his investigations into corruption in the judiciary somewhere in 2015. In an article at the time, Mr Amidu alleged that investigative journalist had been compromised. Anas, however, denied the allegations and said he would not mind working with Mr Amidu despite their differences.
