Annor-Yeboah To Break Away?

Reverend Dr Augustine Annor-Yeboah, the outgoing acting Chairman of the Christ Apostolic (CAC) will on Friday, voluntarily retire from the church, after 17 years of dedicated service. After he hands over, he will establish his own church to be named as the Christian Praise International Church.

An unimpeachable source close to the Reverend told the ?Times? that he had already submitted a letter regarding his voluntary retirement to the leadership of the church.

According to the source, Rev Annor-Yeboah, 49, would hand over the church?s property in his care including the official vehicle to the new executive as part of the planned programme on Friday.

The source insisted that Rev Annor-Yeboah was retiring voluntarily and not receding because ?secessionists leave their former groups with property belonging to those groups?.

The usually reliable source said that he took the decision to leave the church, not out of bitterness for losing in the church?s recent elections to select a new executive, but to respond to a higher calling of spreading the gospel.

In addition, he wants to have his peace of mind to do God?s work, the source added, saying that the Reverend Minister is likely not to get such peace of mind in CAC.
