Another NDC MP To Be Charged

Another National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament is to be dragged to the Fast Track Court. Consequently, the Serious Fraud Office has served the Speaker of Parliament, Peter Ala Adjetey with a letter informing him about the development. This follows the latest brouhaha about the processes for prosecuting a sitting MP spearheaded by the NDC Parliamentary group over the ongoing trial of the NDC MP for Keta, Dan Abodakpi.

The subject of the letter is Ato Quarshie, NDC MP for Kommenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) constituency. He has already been charged in a case involving Messrs Karl and Bernard Ploetner of the renowned road construction firm, Construction Pioneers.

CP is on record as having made a donation of some ?2 million to the NDC electoral machine sometime ago The donation was unfortunately challenged by a citizen resulting in a court order for the NDC to return the amount since the donation was contrary to the Political Parties Law.
