Antoine Semenyo, others report to Black Stars camp for Angola and Niger matches

The Black Stars have officially opened their camp in Accra ahead of Ghana’s opening games in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

This month, Ghana will face Angola and Niger as part of the qualifiers for the next edition of the continental tournament.

On August 29, 2024, head coach Otto Addo announced his squad for the matches, including notable players such as Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, and Thomas Partey. On Sunday night, seven of the invited players reported to the camp ahead of the team’s first training session.

The players already in camp are Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Frederick Asare.

Additional players are expected to arrive on September 2, 2024, before coach Otto Addo conducts the Black Stars' first training session later that evening.

Ghana will face Angola on Thursday, September 5, and then take on Niger away on September 9.
