Apam Orphanage was established in 2014 with about four children from the Sandema community.
It now accommodates over 120 inmates and about 60 fostered children. It is situated at Pokuasi under the Ga West District in Accra, Ghana.
The children are mostly street children, abandoned children, orphans, missing children, and many more.
The orphanage has expanded to Northern Ghana in the village of Choo Kukuo in the Tamale District on Iris Street.
Accompanying the orphanage is a nine-unit classroom block for learning because the vision is to provide quality education for everyone.
As part of this vision, children from the orphanage are supported to further their education.
It has students at ATTC, Accra Technical University, Kumasi Technical University, and the University of Development Studies, Tamale, respectively.
When asked what inspired him to build the orphanage, Evangelist Papa Nii Adjeman shared a personal story of how he lost his mother, became homeless, and survived life at transport stations and a prayer mountain.
In his most difficult times, he promised God that if he survived, he would love to build a house of worship for God and a safe haven for orphans.
He now sees his dreams coming true after about 30 years of encountering God from the street. Papa Nii Adjeman is a humble, affable, and down-to-earth man with a contagious passion for children and community development.
He explained how he is praying for support to be able to expand to every deprived district in Ghana and Africa at large.
When asked about the challenges of the home, he spoke about how many of the children come to the place at a time when they can neither read nor write, so they have to employ more teachers for special classes for the kids to catch up. Join us by supporting us to make this world a better place for these wonderful children.
