The Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Nsawam-Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region has demanded that the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Mr. Frank Annoh Dompreh, retract and apologize for labeling former President John Mahama as a "curse on Ghana."

In a press release dated Saturday, August 10, the NDC stated, "Arrogant Annoh Dompreh must be hallucinating to think that Dr. Bawumia is a co-equal to Mr. John Dramani Mahama to warrant his incessant attacks on him.

He must dread the humiliating defeat that awaits him on December 7, 2024, in Nsawam-Adoagyiri.

The crocodile tears he shed before the people of Nsawam-Zongo will not save him."

This statement was issued in response to remarks made by Mr. Frank Annoh Dompreh during Dr. Bawumia's Eastern Regional campaign tour in the Nsawam Constituency last Friday.

In his speech, the MP asserted that no president in Ghana's history, from Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to the present, has been sworn in twice, implying that former President Mahama's attempt to do so would bring a curse upon the nation.

He urged voters to reject Mahama in the upcoming election.

Mr. Annoh Dompreh further described the December 2024 elections as a choice between "light and darkness," with Dr. Bawumia representing the light and former President John Mahama symbolizing darkness.
