Apostolic Church ordains seven elders

Kasoa (C/R), March 27, GNA - The three-day convention of the Nyanyano/Kasoa District branch of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, has ended with the ordination of seven Elders, who were charged to work with humility so that they will win the respect of those they lead. They were Elder John Eshun, Charles Kame Effisah, Robert F. Amoah, Francis Annan Kwao, Edward Tetteh, Obed Ofori Arthur and Emmanuel Odamteng.

Pastor Justifier Darko Korang, Area "B" Apostle of the Church, who conducted the ordination also ordained 11 Deacons and 13 Deaconess at the convention with the Theme" The Righteous Christ"

He said they would be held accountable for the wrong they commit, for that matter, they should lead exemplary lives worthy of emulation. Apostle Korang said, "hold fast to the faith and you must not to be double-tongued, not given to wine "nor greed of filthy lucre".

Apostle Korang warned that those who will fall short of their work would be sanctioned, if they repeat their offences after being cautioned.

Apostle Korang appealed to them to intensify evangelism in the area to win lost souls to Jesus Christ.

Pastor J. K. Koranteng, in-charge of the Nyanyano/Kasoa District, urged them to stay blameless and wait for the second coming of Christ, who will come to exalt and crown the righteous for their good work done. He said righteousness is the yardstick, which was preached and ignored in the days of Noah in the biblical history, when sinners were destroyed by the famous flood, saying that, still mankind including Christians take the second coming of Jesus as a joke.

Pastor Koranteng added that, they must not allow themselves to be misled.

He charged, "go remain righteous and God will bless you and together with your descendants have divine protection wherever you may be". About 32 converts had water baptism.
