Apraku thanks Kufuor for opportunity to serve

Accra, May 4, GNA - Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, Member of Parliament for Offinso North and outgoing Minister of Regional Coperation and NEPAD, on Thursday thanked President John Agyekum Kufuor for the opportunity granted to him to serve in his government in responsible positions for five-and-a-half years.

In a statement signed by Mr Ahmed Osman, his Media Relations Officer, Dr Apraku said he had over the period contributed in his modest way to the goals and aspiration of the government as well as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to enhance the total wellbeing of Ghanaians.

The MP also expressed his unflinching support and commitment to the vision and goals of the Party and thanked the general public for the goodwill and support shown to him in the past few days.

"I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the Party grows from strength to strength and also work hard to strengthen the structures of the Party at the grassroots to position it to win the next general election."

The MP assured the public that he was committed to the wellbeing of the Ghanaian saying: "I will do everything within my capability to ensure that Ghana's interest is served first in whatever capacity I find my self."
