Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of Action Chapel International has declared a “Season of Timely Intervention,” calling on believers worldwide to rise in prayer.
“I have a prophetic word that I want to release to the nations of the world, and the message is Timely Intervention. I want to believe that God will help us experience timely interventions in our lives and in the affairs of our country and other nations,” he said.
The archbishop shared a prophetic word with his congregation while delivering a sermon in Accra.
He said, “The Season of Timely Intervention, which follows the Year of Open Doors, shifts the focus from merely recognizing and walking through opportunities to experiencing divine help. This also aligns with the Jewish calendar, which begins around September each year.”
Archbishop Duncan-Williams said, “We are living in perilous times, but if we can unite in prayer and call on the Almighty, He will intervene.”
He said as the year drew closer, elections approaching in several nations, including Ghana, conflicts escalating in various regions, and a troubling rise in depression, suicide and mental health challenges, particularly among the youth, there was the need to pray.
In response to these pressing issues, Action Chapel International will host a series of transformative programmes in the final quarter of the year, calling the global body of Christ to prayer and intercession.
These prayer meetings including the Altar of Atonement Prayer Encounter, All Believers and Youth All-Night Prayer, will see the body of Christ coming together to intercede for families, the global community and the younger generation.
It said on the Altar of Atonement Prayer Encounter, it was expected to take place on October 12, 2024, and this special prayer meeting which marks the sacred Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, would bring men and women from all denominations to the Prayer Cathedral.
It is to intercede for the upcoming elections and break the strongholds of suicidal spirits and mental attacks affecting families and communities.
The statement said that the All Believers and Youth All-Night, was dedicated to the younger generation and this special all-night fellowship was set for November 15, 2024.
It said this gathering would focus on prayer for the mental health, well-being and the future of the nation’s youth.
The Impact Convention and the Kairos Experience event is a regular fixture on the Church’s calendar, and these are arguably Ghana’s most anticipated Christian events, drawing thousands of believers every year.
It said over the years, participants had shared testimonies of the positive impact these spiritual gatherings made on their lives, with many returning year after year to be part of the experience.
“With the Impact Convention scheduled for November 24 to December 1 and the Kairos Experience from December 30 to January 1, 2025, there’s no doubt that these spirit-filled events will live up to their billing once again,” it said.
