“Arrest Akufo-Addo, Lord Commey before Yaw Boateng Gyan”- Felix Kwakye dares NPP

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a Member of the Communication Team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have dared the NPP to call for the arrest of its flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, Lord Commey and other members of the party, who have made treacherous comments which had the tendency of plunging the country into chaos before demanding the apprehension of Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan.

According to Felix Kwakye, the violent nature of the members of New Patriotic Party does not give the party the moral right to chastise Mr. Yaw Boateng over the content of the leaked tape.

“We heard people including Nana Akufo-Addo, Lord Commey and Samuel Awuku passing more treacherous comments than what the so-called leaked tape contains, so if they want the police to arrest Yaw Boateng Gyan, they should also urge the police to arrest their own people,” Felix Kwakye added.

He said this on Peace Fm in Accra on Friday during the station's “Krokokoo” morning show programme hosted By Kwame Sefa Kayi.

National Organizer of the NDC, Mr. Boateng Gyan, have been implicated in a secret tape recording in which he is said to have promised party faithful loans and National Security identification cards to enable them execute a sinister agenda during the December polls.

Yaw Boateng Gyan has since admitted the voice on the tape as his but insists parts of the recordings were doctored.

To Felix Kwakye, the strong stance taken by the NPP is a desperate attempt to portray the executives of the NDC in a bad light, stressing that the move would not wash.

He insists that the 18 minutes out of the 35 minutes tape played so far still does not implicate Mr. Boateng Gyan in anyway.
