Arrest Obinim over stickers if it is bad - Adongo to NPP

Ghanaians took to social media to give 'testimonies' about Bishop Daniel Obinim's stickers Ghanaians took to social media to give 'testimonies' about Bishop Daniel Obinim's stickers

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo is calling on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to cause the arrest of the controversial televangelist, Bishop Daniel Obinim if they are convinced his sticker is bad.

According to him, God has blessed the founder of the International Godsway Church and anointed him to the extent that he has come out with a sticker which is used in helping humanity but shocked that its recommendation to the NPP has caused a hullabaloo.

“This is someone God has blessed with the anointing. He has given him the power to heal the sick and is helping humanity so what is wrong if someone recommends that go and use some of the stickers which have the power to help you?, if the current government are convinced Obinim’s stickers are not helpful to society, they should arrest him”, he disclosed on Asempa Fm.

Mr. Adongo justified the recommendations by former President John Dramani Mahama for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his 110 ministers to use the infamous Obinim sticker in order to cure what he described as 'super incompetence”.

“He uses the stickers for a good purpose by giving people strength, healing the sick and helping society as a whole. If the stickers are not good, I am challenging them to go and arrest him so he stops its production because I see nothing wrong in recommending some good for our president and his government because it will benefit all of us”, he insisted.

Background

It would be recalled at the Wa version of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Unity Walk a week ago, Mr. Mahama claimed the ‘super incompetence’ of the current administration could only be cured if they laid hands on stickers of the controversial man of God, Daniel Obinim.

The sticker, which is said to work wonders, was recommended by the former President to the sitting President and his government so they can perform better.

The trend is based on hilarious and outrageous claims people are making and attributing it to a miraculous sticker from Bishop Daniel Obinim, the founder, and leader of International God’s Way Church.

Apparently, church members of Obinim give testimonies at his church regarding the wonderful things the sticker has done for them ever since they bought it. And that has sparked the Obinim Sticker Challenge on social media.

“I have been watching social media lately, and there’s something that has come, and I think it cures everything. It’s the Obinim sticker, the President and his government need an Obinim sticker. If it really works, then I think they need the sticker. So I am saying that we cannot depend on their incompetence, we need to work hard to gain the support of the electorate,” Mahama said.

His comments have been criticized by some elements within the ruling government as they sought to suggest they are undeserving of a statesman.
