Former model and TV hairdresser Arthur Simpson-Kent who reportedly murdered his wife Sian Blake and two kids in cold blood could face three counts of murder sentence after pleading guilty at a court hearing at the Old Bailey yesterday, the Daily Mirror, UK reports.
Blake, the former EastEnders actress and her two children were reported missing on 16 December 2015 but three weeks later, their bodies were found buried at her home in Erith, London.
Further investigations revealed that Sian, 43, and their two young sons, Zachery and Amon, eight and four years old respectively, were murdered by her partner, Arthur Simpson-Kent.
The family of the deceased who had earlier labelled her killer a “monster”, wiped tears amid sobs while the court narrated the gruesome details of how he first clubbed the trio before slitting their throats with a knife.
Simpson-Kent could be handed three whole life sentences after his guilty plea to three counts of murder; the Daily Mirror UK has reported.
Background:
Arthur Simpson-Kent was arrested on January 9, 2016, at Busua near Takoradi in Ghana where he was lodging.
This was after a joint Ghana, Interpol and British Police team laid ambush in the Western Region. Reports from the United Kingdom indicated that the family of 43-year-old Sian had “accused him of domestic violence” only weeks before the killings. He was put before an Accra Magistrate Court and charged with murder but was later extradited back to the United Kingdom.
