Asante Assoc. to Pay last Respect to its Abusuapanyin

The Asante Association of Washington Metro recently reported the death of its Abusuapanin and community leader, Nana Owusu Opong-Wadee Nkwantabisa. Ghanaians in Washington Metro area and the the leaders of the Asante Association of Washington Metro; Nana Kofi Boateng, Asantefuohene, Nana Ama Akyiaa, Asantefuohemaa , Mr. Kwame Prempeh, President and the entire Asante Community in the Washington Metro Area were devastasted over the sudden death.
Funeral Arrangements have been made for his family, friends and members of the Asante Association of Washington Metro, The Council of Ghanaian Associations (COGA) and ACONA (Asanteman Council Of North America -US/CANADA) and the Ghanaian community to pay their last respects to Nana Owusu Opong-Wadee Nkwantabisa who is well known in the Washington metro area.
The Asante Associaton of Washington Metro has issued details of the funeral as follows;
Friday, April 7th, 2005
Viewing will take place at; Heinz Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11899 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD; 5:30pm - 9pm and traditional funeral rites will also follow at; Boys & Girls Club, 1818 Merrimac Road, Langley Park, MD; 9pm-3am.
Nana Owusu Opong-Wadee Nkwantabisa died on Monday, March 20, 2006 at Washington Hospital in Washington, DC after a short illness. Abusuapanyin, Nana Opong-Wadee Nkwantabisa was instrumental in the installation of of Nana Kofi Boateng, Asantefuohene of Washington Metro. His uncle is Mr. Alex Yiadom Boakye of New Jersey and had lived in the US for the past 21 years and prior to that, lived in Germany for 5 years. He left behind a wife; Mrs. Susan Opong-Wadee (Wife) and 4 chidren; Angela Opong-Wadee, Ivy Opong-Wadee, David Opong-Wadee, Edmund Opong-Wadee Jnr.
