Asantehene commends Dr Asafo-Agyei

Kumasi, Oct. 13, GNA - Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11, Asantehene has commended Reverend Dr Asafo-Agyei Anane Frimpong, Medical Director of Asafo-Agyei Hospital in Kumasi for making Asanteman and Ghana proud with his medical exploits.

Asantehene made the commendation when Rev. Dr Asafo-Agyei presented awards, medals and certificates he had received from various world organisations for his achievements in the field of medicine to him during the Akwasidae celebrations at Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. Otumfuo Osei Tutu congratulated Rev. Dr Asafo-Agyei for sharing his achievements with him and urged him to work assiduously to achieve higher laurels for Asanteman and the nation.

Rev. Dr Asafo-Agyei said all the honours were formal and exclusive recognition of his illustrious and exemplary achievements in the field of leadership as well as outstanding and international acclaimed contribution in the field of medicine.

Accompanied by members of Ghana chapter of International Ministerial Council, Rev. Dr Asafo-Agyei displayed the Global Medicine and Healthcare Award for 2006.

He received the award at the inaugural World Forum at Oxford University, which qualified him to be appointed Director-General of the International Biographical Centre (IBC) in charge of Africa. Among the numerous awards and honours are the 93Order of American Ambassador=94 (OAA) 93Order of Medical and Edict=94 and a Diploma of Honorary Fellow from the Australian-Asian Institute of Civil Leadership.
