The Overlord of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has pledged to allocate a land under his jurisdiction to Apostle Kwadwo Safo, the founder and leader of the Kantanka Technological Centre of Excellence (KTCE), a subsidiary of the Kantanka Group of Companies to establish a technology school in the region.
The revered traditional ruler has also pledged to partner the African Star as he is popularly called to project and propagate his innovations in the region.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II made the pledge when he delivered an address at the 38th Technology and Exhibition by KTCE.
He asked Safo Kantaka to chose any location of his choice and the land would be allocated.
The Asantehene asked Safo Kantanka not to give up despite the failure of government to support his activities.
He also called on government to document his activities in order to have more people benefit from his knowledge.
He said, "even if he is a wizard, we would have to document his innovations and improve on them so we will have more innovators when he is no more.’’
At the exhibition, the innovator launched an advanced armoured vehicle fixed with a laser rangefinder.
The launch took place at the 38th annual Technology Exhibition of the Kantanka Group in Accra last Sunday, during which an array of products manufactured by KTCE, which is located at Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region, were on display.
They included military weapons, exoskeletons, saloon cars, a customised limousine, a V8 engine block and stabilisers.
Also on display were foodstuffs, including species of plantain, yam and cocoyam planted with organic fertiliser.
The exhibition, was on the theme: “Advancing the frontiers of science, creativity and technology through religion to transform society”.
Other dignitaries, including the Senior Minister, Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo; the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng; Members of Parliament, representatives of the various security agencies and traditional leaders.
