ASHESI University, a private non-profit university in the country, has won an award for having the best university website in a competition which included six other universities and two educational institutions.
The Central University College and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology were the first and second runners-up respectively.
The Competition was organized by the Regional Informatics Network for Africa (RINAF) as a United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) programme that seeks to promote capacity building in the development and use of ICT.
The objective of the competition was to select the three best webmasters in the country, with the hope of strengthening the competence of African Universities and other educational institutions in website designing.
Ashesi will receive a new computer and its accessories, valued at 9.5 million Cedis.
