Ashh FM boss' carjacker nabbed

A 37-year-old man, who parades himself as a senior medical doctor in Geneva, has been arrested by Police in the Ashanti Region for robbery.

Andrews Osei Bonsu is suspected to be the mastermind behind a recent carjacking incident involving the General Manager of Kumasi-based private radio station, Ashh FM. He was arrested in the company of a student nurse. He had handed over all the phones and iPads he stole from the victim to the supposed student nurse. Osei Bonsu was arrested after a worker at Ashh FM spotted him driving the car at Agona.

Mr Armstrong’s Toyota corolla with registration number AS 4073 – 14 was jacked on Tuesday, January 5, in broad daylight at Sokoban Ampayoo, a suburb of Kumasi.

The gang of four robbers were said to have blocked the road and robbed Mr Essah of his car and valuables.

Class News' regional correspondent, Frank Jackson, confirmed the incident to ClassFMonline.com and said Mr Essah, according to the station's News Editor, Alex Amoako, lost all his phones and every other thing he had on him to the robbers.
