General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia has taken a swipe at the wife of the party’s founder Nana Kondau Agyeman Rawlings for making disparaging remarks about the party.

General Mosquito is accusing Mr.s Rawlings of trying to use the incessant attacks on the party and its leaders to make herself relevant in the political landscape when there are other issues she could have directed her efforts.

He indicates that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), who in recent times has resorted to launching scathing attacks on the party, should be grateful she now voices her opinions freely; something that was missing in the past.

He mocked at her for holding a national congress at a time when all political parties were much concerned with the limited registration exercise.

“No serious political party will be holding a congress in the middle of a serious exercise like the limited voters registration exercise. If you don’t know what is in the register how can you contest an election”, he told Lantam Papanko on the Ultimate Breakfast Show.

According to him, she should be thankful to government for deepening democracy which has paved the way for her to speak the way she does without being intimidated or harassed.

“In time past she could not have spoken the way she did. She should concentrate on developing her party and ensuring that she is able to file her nomination papers to contest the 2016 elections”, he said
