Asiedu Nketia questions Nana Addo's credibility

General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has fired salvos at the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) 2016 Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo over his comment on the cost of the Presidential diaries.

Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has alleged that the Mahama-led government spent a whopping $10million on printing presidential diaries.

This issue according to him is sad because Ghanaians on a daily basis are struggling to put food on their tables.

“I listen to the disillusionment of the average Ghana with politicians who promise them relief and end up bringing them grief when they get into office. I listen to the journalist who is saddened by the revelation that a government can spend $10 million to print presidential diaries. Yes, you heard me right: $10 million. And yet we are barely able to scrape together $10 million as a down payment on our debt to Nigeria for the supply of a truly essential product – gas,” he said.

But General Mosquito, as he is affectionately called, is wondering why a whole flagbearer could pass such a comment despite his wide claim of experience in politics as former Attorney-General, Foreign Affairs Minister and former Member of Parliament.

The NDC Chief Scribe on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show described Nana Akufo-Addo as a man without credibility to aspire to lead if he cannot tell simple truth on the cost of the Presidential diaries.

To him, if Nana Addo whose father has been former Ceremonial President of Ghana does not know how Presidential Diaries are printed, he will not know how to pay school fees for Ghanaians as he campaigns on the policy of ‘Free SHS’.

“…you don’t know how Presidential Diaries are printed, how can you know how to pay school fees? He wants us to give the Presidency to him to provide Free SHS, and yet he does not how Presidential Diaries are printed,” he chided.

He, therefore, described the opposition NPP as a party which dwells on lies; making it impossible to survive in the political arena without lies; thus urged the media not to entertain NPP with its lies.
