Assembly inaugurates new Police Post at La Tse-Addo

The La-Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly has inaugurated a Police Post at Tse-Addo in the eastern part of La in Accra.


The facility, which cost GH? 45,000, was funded from the internally generated funds of the Assembly.

Madam Rita Odoley Sowah, the Municipal Chief Executive, said it was an undeniable fact that development thrives in an environment free of threats and insecurity.

She said for this reason the Assembly together with the Security Council readily provided the facility to assist arrest any potential breach of the peace and security in the community.

“The police will offer services such as regular night patrols, rapid response to threatening situations, check points at designated areas and general security, to safeguard the citizens,” she said.

Madam Odoley Sowah said the Police Post was established after an appeal by the Assemblyman for the area; Mr Emmanuel N. Kwapong and commended the Police Administration for their support.

She advised the residents to be vigilant and conscious of their security and should not hesitate to prompt the police of any suspicious movement of unknown persons and appealed to the police not to disclose the identity of informants’.

DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohunu, the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander said the facility had come at the right time, and that, the police would always partner with the assembly to secure the area.

DCOP Yohunu advised residents to support the police in the discharge of their function.
