Aston Villa legend hails 'improved' Adomah

Former Aston Villa great Garry Thompson has hailed the improved form of wideman Albert Adomah, insisting the Ghanaian has been key to their revival so far.

Adomah, 29, has been key for Steve Bruce's side in recent weeks, churning out impressive displays so far in the English Championship

The Ghanaian was heavily involved as Villa held Birmingham City to a goalless draw in the derby at St Andrews over the weekend..

“Villa are improving. At the start of the season I could not see any way we could make the top six, particularly with Jonathan Kodjia injured," said Thompson

“But now Albert Adomah and Conor Hourihane are scoring. They’ve got Robert Snodgrass too and suddenly look a team with a few goals in them.

“They’re going in the right direction and things are starting to take shape. They now look a team who can really step up to it.

“But this game more than any other is a one-off. It’s about how much you want it.”
