Municipal Chief Executive for Atebubu-Amantin in the Bono East Region, Edward Owusu and District Chief Executive for Biakoye in the Oti Region, Millicent Kabuki Carboo have resigned from their positions.
This was announced in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
The statement noted that following their resignation, the respective Regional Ministers have been directed to assume the roles until the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, appoints substantive replacemnts.
"Following their resignations, the respective Regional Ministers have been directed to act as District Chief Executives of the two assemblies until substantive replacements are appointed by His Excellency, the President," it said.
The Ministry of Local Government also commended Edward Owusu and
Millicent Carboo for their advancing the developments of their respective assemblies.
"The Ministry takes this opportunity to express it's appreciation to Edward Owusu and Millicent Kabuki Carboo for their dedicated service and contributions to the development of their respective assemblies," the statement added.
