Atomic Hills United Church dedicates manse

The Atomic Hills United Church, an interdenominational church located at Ashongman Estate has dedicated its ultra-modern Manse to serve as the residence for their Head Pastor.

The Manse, which is a 5-bedroom house and fully furnished with modern facilities, was built over a period of 3-years at the cost of GH380, 000. 00

Doing the dedication, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana commended the leadership and membership of the church for putting up such a facility to house their pastor.

According to him, the purpose of providing a comfortable accommodation for the pastor of the church is to enable him shepherd God’s people effectively and also fulfil the core mandate for which Christ established the church.

“This Manse must be used to further the cause of Christ. It must be a place of prayer and an avenue where believers can come without hesitation to receive insight from God’s word in difficult times”

According to him, God will certainly bless members of the church who have continuously availed their resources, finances, energy and time to building church of God.

In his sermon during the dedication, he admonished pastors to use every resource available to them to promote the gospel of Jesus’ Christ and lead his/her people to have personal relationship with Christ.

He encouraged members of the church to obey the teachings of Christ and be willing to do His will, even if it is at the peril of their lives.

Quoting from Deuteronomy 6:24-25, Rev. Opuni-Frimpong noted that “in the times we live in, we can easily be carried away by the things of this world. But in the midst of these difficult times, we must be willing to obey God because that is what will guarantee our good life”

He further admonished Christians to be seekers of knowledge and yearn to develop a personal relationship with God.

According to him, most Christians are being deceived with false doctrines in the name of prophecies, healing and miracles because they do not know His word and lack a closer walk with their maker.

For him, believers who have a relationship with Christ and know His word cannot easily be deceived, adding that “we must be wary of false prophets and not allow ourselves to be indoctrinated by any doctrine which is in contradiction with the teachings of Christ”.

The Senior Pastor of the Church, Rt. Rev. Dr. Twum Baah on his part thanked the congregation for their commitment to the cause of Christ.
