Atwima-Nwabiagya NPP Chairman calls for co-operation

Nkawie (Ash), Aug 16, GNA - Nana Kofi Owusu, Atwima-Nwabiagya Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called for absolute co-operation and unity in the Party.

He said now that the constituency primaries were over all the factions must now unite to ensure victory in Election 2004. Addressing supporters of the party at Nkawie at the weekend, Nana Owusu said the results of the primaries should not breed division, hatred and conflict within the rank and file of the Party in the constituency.

He called on Party members to see themselves as "one united family" to start the campaign for victory in December. Supporters should undertake house-to-house campaigns to win more support for the Party, he said.

The Constituency Chairman congratulated Mr Benito Owusu-Bio for winning the primaries and advised the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr James Adusei Sarkodei, who lost, to support him to build the Party. Nana Owusu urged the supporters to show political maturity when they mounted platforms during the campaigns and talk on issues devoid of insults and inflammatory language.

This, he pointed out, would show the difference between the NPP and the other political parties and said; "it is only when you dwell on issues that you will win more supporters for the Party".
